This gig was based around 2 sets of original music from the band leader, Tyler Cooney. The band was formed off the back of a Freedman Fellowship nomination and used new material from Tylerโ€™s previous years completing his Masters, which partly focused on composition.

The ethos of the performance was less tunes and more soloing, as evidenced by the lengthy recordings, and to have intricate arrangements that explored the makeup of a quintet to its fullest potential.
